Hearts of Oak midfielder Isaac Mensah has reached an agreement to sign for Egyptian Premier League club Ittihad of Alexandria on loan, according to reports.

The 21-year-old Ghanian will make the switch to the Alexandria-based club on a paid season-long loan for $100,000, with an option that allows Ittihad transform the player’s move to a permanent one at the end of the season in case he stars for them.

Ittihad continue to assemble the squad for new manager Hany Ramzy and continue to reinforce the team. Mensah is set to be the fifth signing for the club this summer after Ivorian striker Kouakou Fabrice Manucho, Palestine international Abdullah Jaber, Fawzi El-Henawy and Moussa Diawara.

Mensah has struggled with injuries last season with Hearts of Oak but this hasn’t barred Ittihad from capturing the highly rated Ghanian.
